Benny, 36 years old, is the Italian welterweight champion. Shortly after the victory he is found positive for a doping substance and he is disqualified by the sports’ court for four years.
Mario, 16 years old, practices with Benny’s trainer. A week before the beginning of the championships he’s still overweight by six kilos. When the trainer is convinced that the Mario won’t make it, Benny motivates the young man not give up. In helping him to lose weight, Benny atones for his faults and manages to overcome the past aiming to a payback in the present.
